Together with the Bosch Alumni Network, the Deutsch-Französische Institut (dfi) is organising an excursion to Italy, where there will be a general election in early March 2018. The results of the Italian election will have major implications for the European Union, for without a stable Italian government, the necessary reforms will not be possible.
We will be visiting two Italian regions, with the aim of enabling the participants to understand the different political groups and parties, to have personal access to influential public figures in Italy and to meet citizens of different political orientations. In preparation, the dfi will compile a dossier of background information for the participants.
The study trip will take place from February 6th to February 11th 2018.

A maximum of 20 journalists can take part.

Expenses during the trip will be covered. Travelling expenses to and from Italy will not be reimbursed. Two interpreters, translating from Italian to English, will accompany us.

Your application:
Participants should have good knowledge of English and also have basic knowledge about Italian politics and society.
If you are interested, please send the following by email to or by post to the Director of the Deutsch-Französisches Institut, Prof. Dr. Frank Baasner (Aspergerstrasse 34, D-71634 Ludwigsburg, Germany)
